Gose picks up player of the week recognition
For the first time in her career, Milligan College women's basketball senior Kaely Gose has been recognized as the Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Week. The announcement was made Monday afternoon by the league office. Gose’s efforts were for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 19, which included two AAC wins.
MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Jan. 20, 2020) – For the first time in her career, Milligan College women's basketball senior Kaely Gose has been recognized as the Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Week. The announcement was made Monday afternoon by the league office. Gose's efforts were for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 19, which included two AAC wins.
Gose registered her ninth double-double of the season with two this week. She leads Milligan in double-doubles this season and ranks No. 2 in the AAC. She averaged 21.5 points this week with 24 points against Kentucky Christian and 19 against Columbia International. Gose's efforts have helped the Milligan women's basketball team extend their winning streak to four games.
Gose has been a key factor for Milligan this season. On January 11, she set a new career high for herself by scoring 30 points in the Buff's victory over Warren Wilson. She leads the team with 14.43 points per game and 9.86 rebounds per game. Against Kentucky Christian her line included 24 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists, blocks and steals. Her line against CIU included 19 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.
Gose and the women's basketball team will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at home against Tennessee Wesleyan University. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
