BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 26, 2019) – Three Buffs made it to double figures but it was not enough as the Milligan College women's basketball team fell at Union College 72-53 Tuesday night on the road.
Emily Kiser, fresh off a career high 29 points in Milligan's last game, led the way with 13 points while Kaely Gose and Bailey Berry registered 12 and 10, respectively. Halie Padgett also had a solid game with eight points and a team high six rebounds.
Milligan trailed the whole way and managed to keep the deficit single digits until a 13-2 run by Union to end the first half put the Bulldogs up by 20 at the break. Union then kept it near a 20-point lead until Milligan fought back with a 7-0 run near the end of the third quarter to close the gap to 12. However, that was the nearest the game would get as Union scored the next four points before using a pair of similar runs late in the fourth to close the game.
Up next, Milligan will break for Thanksgiving before returning home to Steve Lacy Fieldhouse on Wednesday, Dec. 4. The Buffs will face Kentucky Christian University at 5:30 p.m. as part of a women and men's doubleheader.
