Bailey Cantrell named AAC Softball Player of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. (April 3, 2023) – Milligan University senior Bailey Cantrell was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Softball Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.

The Buffs went 4-0 last week with a pair of doubleheader sweeps of CIU and Columbia (S.C.) at Anglin Field.

Cantrell had multiple hits in all four games and scored a run in at least every game. She went 8-14 (.714) at the plate with two doubles, eight RBI and eight runs scored.

Cantrell went 4-4 with a double, three RBI and three runs scored in the Buffs' game two win over CIU. She ranks 12th in the AAC in RBI (20) and 15th in doubles (7).

The Milligan softball team hosts No. 23 Truett McConnell for an AAC doubleheader on Wednesday starting at 3:00 p.m.
