Milligan Men's XC Still No. 1 in NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Rating
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On Thursday, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) unveiled the second NAIA Men's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25 Rating for the regular season. The Milligan University men's cross country squad continues to be listed as the No. 1 program in the nation after a week off from competition. The rating is rated by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and unaffiliated groupings. The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each rater rates the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place, 28 for third-place and so on through the list.
The Buffs were awarded 649 points in the rating and picked up 19 of 21 first-place votes made, which is the same number as last week's rating. The top four stood pat, with a new No. 5-ranked squad joing the top five.
