Bryn Woodall selected as NAIA National Runner of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (October 25, 2023) – Milligan University junior Bryn Woodall was tabbed as the NAIA Men's Cross Country National Runner of the Week after setting the Buffs' all-time 8k record at the NAIA Appalachian Challenge.

Woodall topped the 180-man field at the NAIA Appalachian Challenge in 23:49, besting Milligan's previous 8k record by six seconds.

No. 3 Milligan took home the meet title at Sequoyah Park in Knoxville with a team score of 42 points, besting No. 10 Montreat and (RV) Huntington.

Woodall is the third Milligan men's cross country runner to break 24 minutes in an 8k race, joining senior Aaron Jones and former Buff great Nathan Baker. He is the first Buff to collect NAIA National Runner of the Week honors this season. Teammate Will Stockley was the M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week.

The No. 2 Buffs look to punch their ticket to the NAIA National Championships at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships next week.
