Will Stockley named AAC Runner of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. (October 9, 2023) – Milligan University graduate student Will Stockley was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week after taking home the individual title at the Royals Cross Country Challenge on Friday.

Stockley earned his first collegiate cross country victory by topping a 275-man field with an 8k time of 24:30. The Buffs had three of the top six finishers to take home the team title over five NCAA Division I teams, including Wake Forest, NCAA Division II No. 3 Wingate and NAIA No. 7 Cumberlands.

Aaron Jones finished third in 24:38 and Bryn Woodall followed in sixth in 24:51. Zimri Kuhn placed 23rd in 25:20 and freshman Bryson Lewis rounded out Milligan's top five in 35th (25:38).

The Buffs head to Knoxville for the NAIA Appalachian Challenge next week.
