Men's volleyball beaten in first home match
Milligan College's inaugural home men's volleyball match took place Wednesday night inside the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse, but the Buffaloes were defeated in straight sets (25-19, 25-20, 25-14) by the University of Tennessee club team.

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Feb. 26, 2014) – Milligan College's inaugural home men's volleyball match took place Wednesday night inside the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse, but the Buffaloes were defeated in straight sets (25-19, 25-20, 25-14) by the University of Tennessee club team.
Setter Hobie Vannoy found six targets on the night and finished with 23 assists. Tony Miner had 16 kills to lead the Buffs attack. Milligan registered 30 kills as a team but attacked at a low .082 rate.
Tennessee's Matt Conway led all attackers with 17 kills at a .464 attack rate. He also contributed 11 digs, two block assists and a block solo.
Milligan will be back at home next Thursday, March 6 for a 6:30 p.m. meeting with Bryan College. The Buffs will face UT one more time in a tournament scheduled for Saturday, March 8.
