Will Stockley honored as AAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. (January 29, 2024) – Milligan University graduate student Will Stockley was selected as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon.

The Buffs returned to the JDL Fast Track for the first time in 2024 for the Camel City Invitational over the weekend.

Stockley finished fourth in the 3k and was the top non-NCAA Division I finisher in the 68-man field. He ran 8:17.06 to meet the automatic national qualification standard before conversion. His converted time of 8:11.35 ranks second in the nation.

Stockley also ran the anchor leg on Milligan's distance medley relay. The Buffs' ran the NAIA's top time this season as Bryn Woodall, Romario Taylor, Sylas Chambers and Stockley clocked in at 10:06.15. Milligan's converted time of 9:58.03 is the only unit to break 10 minutes this season.

Milligan returns to the JDL Fast Track on Thursday for the JDL Thursday College Classic.
