Dominy, Kearney, Stockley and Woodall move on at NAIA National Championships
BROOKINGS, S.D. (March 3, 2023) – The Milligan University indoor track & field teams had four student-athletes qualify for Saturday’s championship finals in their respective events on the second day of the NAIA National Championships on Friday.

"Really proud of the crew that advanced today," said head coach Chris Layne. "Semi-final rounds can be unforgiving and I thought we navigated those well."
Caitlin Dominy moved on to the finals in the women's 3k after posting the top time in the prelims (10:10.06).
Bryn Woodall notched the second-fastest time in the men's 3k qualifying in 8:30.46. Woodall earned All-America honors with a third-place finish in the 3k at last year's NAIA National Championships.
Will Stockley, who entered as the No. 2 seed in the mile, advanced to Saturday's final after a runner-up finish in the first head of the mile prelims with a time of 4:13.84. Stockley secured All-America laurels in the mile last winter with a fourth-place national finish.
Ellen Mary Kearney had the third-fastest time of 4:59.72 in the women's mile prelims to move on to Saturday.
Sylas Chambers with 15th in the 1k semifinals in 2:29.82. Pablo Rivas finished 17th (8:43.47) and Arran Kearney was 27th (9:12.92) in the 3k prelims.
Keith Fletcher finished 25th in 60-meter hurdle qualifying in 8.48 seconds.
"I think we've got enough folks in finals tomorrow to have a shot at finishing inside the top eight-to-10 depending on what happens across the board," said Layne.
The Buffs have six student-athletes and two relays competing on championship Saturday tomorrow at the NAIA National Championships.
