Men's Tennis comes up short at AAC Tournament
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 12, 2024) - Milligan University men's tennis battled to the very end but came up just short of advancing in the 2024 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament, falling 4-2 to fifth-seeded University of Pikeville (Ky.) on Friday.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 12, 2024) - Milligan University men's tennis battled to the very end but came up just short of advancing in the 2024 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament, falling 4-2 to fifth-seeded University of Pikeville (Ky.) on Friday.
The tournament is being held at the Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Pikeville won the doubles points as it claimed wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Gonzaga Lafarga and Brayden Kennedy won No. 3 doubles 6-2.
Lafarga scored a point for the Buffs at No. 3 singles, winning 6-4, 6-2.
Stefan Macheiner claimed Milligan's other point at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-4 victory.
Milligan concludes the season with an 8-12 record.
