Men’s Tennis falls at No. 12 Cumberland in competitive match

LEBANON, Tenn. (March 23, 2023) – The Milligan University men's tennis team dropped a competitive nonconference matchup 7-0 at No. 12 Cumberland on Thursday afternoon.

The Buffs fall to 7-9 on the year while Cumberland rises to 12-5.

Nathan Smiley and Marcos Moreno were edged 7-5 at No. 1 doubles while Juan Camilo Burgos and Justin Rigsby were defeated 7-6 at No. 3 doubles.

Krishan Taneje fell at No. 1 singles 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (8-6) in a competitive match. Marcos Moreno was downed 7-6, 7-5 at fifth singles and Derian Janeke battled but lost 7-6, 6-3 at sixth singles.

Milligan hosts Point in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) match on Monday.
