Men’s and Women’s Tennis blank Truett McConnell in AAC opener
MILLIGAN, Tenn. (February 21, 2023) – The Milligan University men’s and women’s tennis teams both rolled to 7-0 victories over Truett McConnell in the Buffs’ Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) opener at the Mathes Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon.

Milligan's women rose to 3-3, 1-0 AAC and the men moves to 3-4, 1-0 AAC on the season.
The Buffs took all six doubles matches on the day. Macy Kennedy and Kylie Enarson won 6-0 at second doubles and Sophie Dunman and Makenna Peterson took a 6-0 victory in No. 3 doubles. The Buffs' top women's doubles pairing of Kaitlin Barrett and Camryn Rossa captured a 6-2 win.
In the men's doubles, Ryan Thomas and Derian Janeke triumphed 6-1 at first doubles. Gabrijel Kajic and Marcos Moreno won second doubles and Justin Rigsby and Juan Camilo Burgos took third doubles without dropping a set.
In singles action, Barrett (No. 1), Rossa (No. 2), Dunman (No. 3), Kennedy (No. 5) and Peterson (No. 6) all won 6-0. Enarson took a 6-2, 6-1 victory at fourth singles.
Krishan Teneja took a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles for Milligan's men. Carter Rigsby won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles. Kajic won 6-2, 6-1 at third singles. Ryan Thomas won in straight sets at No. 4 singles, Nathan Smiley emerged victorious 6-1, 6-0 at fifth singles and Daniel Roshak finished the matched with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.
Milligan travels to Tennessee Wesleyan on Thursday. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 3 nationally on the men's side and No. 8 in the latest women's rankings.
