After another stellar season for the Buffs swim squads in 2023-24 which saw both the men and women finish in the top five at the NAIA Swimming & Diving Championships, Milligan returns to the pool with lofty goals. After starting their campaigns in Kingsport, they will participate in a triangular event at Carson-Newman University including the hosts and Emory & Henry in attendance with the Buffaloes. That event will take place on Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. The squads then host WVU Tech at home for the first home duals of the season on Nov. 9 at 11 a.m.
A trip to Columbia, S.C. is next for the Buffaloes, as they will participate at the Gamecock Invite hosted by the University of South Carolina from Nov. 20-22. It is the second year straight that Milligan has attended the event. Then, after a quiet month of December, the Buffs will host University of the Cumberlands inside Steve Lacy Fieldhouse for their second home duals of the year on Jan. 4 at 11 a.m.
The Colonel Classic is next on the docket, as Milligan will travel north to Danville, Ky. for the event hosted by Centre College on Jan. 10-11. Then, a final set of home duals serves as the final regular-season event of 2024-25. The Buffs host King University on Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. before entering postseason play.
The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Swimming & Diving Championships will be hosted by Kingsport Aquatic Center from Feb. 6-8. The Buffs are accustomed champions of the event on both the men's and women's sides, as the men look for a five-peat and the women look for their fourth straight AAC title.
Lastly, the NAIA Swimming & Diving Championships will start just under a month later, as the Buffaloes hope to attend yet again, this time in Elkhart, Ind. at the Elkhart Aquatic Center. The event is held from Mar. 5-8, and Milligan will be searching for even greater finishes than their third-place (women's) and fourth-place (men's) finishes in 2023-24.
