Milligan Assistant, Stollings, Earns NCAA DII Men's Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 2023-24
CLEVELAND, Ohio - On Thursday, the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association named current Milligan University swimming assistant coach, Timothy Stollings, the recipient of the 2023-24 Men's Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor.
Stollings carried a cumulative 3.95 GPA as a business major, earning his degree from Findlay this spring.
He stood out in the pool, winning five event titles at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) Championships, including 100 butterfly, 100 backstroke, 400 freestyle relay, 400 medley relay and 200 medley relay. He was named the GMAC's Male Athlete of the Year and the Men's Swimmer of the Year. He was a First-Team All-American in five events at the 2024 DII Swimming & Diving National Championships, while also being a Secon-Team All-American in three others. He came away with an individual national title in the 100 butterfly,m the second of his career. He was also a two-time Academic All-District and Academic All-American.
