18 swimming student-athletes named CSCAA Scholar All-Americans

MILLIGAN, Tenn. (July 10, 2023) – The Milligan University men's and women's swim teams had a total of 18 student-athletes honored as Scholar All-Americans by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) last week.

The Buffs had nine men and nine women receive Scholar All-American laurels for the 2022-23 year. To qualify for individual Scholar All-America honors, a student must have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.50 during the 2022-23 season. Athletically, First Team honorees competed at their respective national championship meet and Second Team selections must have recorded an individual "B" standard.

Both of Milligan's swim teams earned Spring Scholar All-America Team honors from CSCAA fourth the eighth-straight semester under head coach Spencer Scarth.

Rachel Connell, Liz Mahan, Kaylee Williams and Andre Bazzana were honored as First Team Academic All-Americans by College Sports Communicators in June. Connell earned her fourth-consecutive CSCAA Scholar All-American honor. Gabby MacPherson and Williams are both three-time CSCAA academic honorees. Bazzana and Mahan repeated as Scholar All-Americans.
