Burnett receives second straight AAC weekly honor
Sterling Burnett of the Milligan College swim team has swam his way into getting recognized as the Appalachian Athletic Conference swimmer of the week for the second week in a row. The league made the announcement Monday afternoon for the week ending on Feb. 2.

(Feb. 3, 2020) – Sterling Burnett of the Milligan College swim team has swam his way into getting recognized as the Appalachian Athletic Conference swimmer of the week for the second week in a row. The league made the announcement Monday afternoon for the week ending on Feb. 2.
Burnett and the Milligan Buffs competed against Union College and King University this past Saturday. Burnett walked away with two wins and three national cuts. He posted a national A standard in the 100 Back with a time of 53.91 and in the 400 Free Relay with a team time of 3:21.48. Burnett also posted a national B standard in the 200 Back with a time of 2:01.21.
Burnett and the Milligan swim team will compete again at the AAC Championships, Feb. 13-15, in Kingsport, Tennessee.
