Milligan swims past Randolph to victory
The Milligan College swim team had a successful day in the pool with both the men and the women defeating Randolph College Saturday afternoon. The two teams competed in 28 events with the Milligan women winning 170 to 30 and the Milligan men winning 198 to 45.
MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Nov. 16, 2019) – The Milligan College swim team had a successful day in the pool with both the men and the women defeating Randolph College Saturday afternoon. The two teams competed in 28 events with the Milligan women winning 170 to 30 and the Milligan men winning 198 to 45.
The men and the women came out victorious in every race except for the women's 100 breaststroke. There were several national cut times as the team of Kaylee Propst, Lindsey Grow, Jordan Clark and Maggie Halloran picked up a national A cut in the 400 medley relay with a time of 4:57 in the first event of the day.
The men then turned around and picked up a national A cut with a time of 4:22 in the 400 medley relay with the team of Sterling Burnett, Elijah Manship, Ed Lee and Logan Garazino.
Halloran picked up an individual national A cut in the 1500 freestyle with a time of 18:54. Mitchell Martin picked up a national cut on the men's side in the 1500 freestyle with a time of 17:38.
Halloran continue to find success in the pool and picked up a national cut time of 2:34 in the 200 backstroke.
The Buffs next meet will be Dec. 7-8 at the Transylvania Invitational at the University of Kentucky. After that the Buffs will dive back into the pool on Jan. 25 for the Milligan College Invitational.
