Buffaloes Men's Soccer Checks in at No. 11 in Final NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) unveiled the final NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll of the 2024 campaign on Wednesday. Milligan University came away ranked No. 11 in the nation for the third time in the last four polls after the conclusion of their AAC Tournament run on Tuesday evening. A panel of head coaches representing each conference and Continental Athletic Conference (Independents) voted on the poll. The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter votes for the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place, 28 points for third-place and so on through the list.
Since the last poll, Milligan made their way to the AAC Quarterfinals as the No. 2 seed and dispatched No. 7 seeded St. Andrews 1-0. Then, last night, the Buffs tied third-seeded Bryan in the conference Semifinals and failed to advance after a 4-3 disadvantage in the penalty shootout.
