Moreno and Alles sweep AAC Men’s Soccer weekly awards

WALESKA, Ga. (October 30, 2023) – Milligan University men's soccer players Inaki Moreno and Adria Alles were honored as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week on Monday.

The Buffs went 2-0 last week with a 3-0 victory over No. 14 Union and a 10-0 win at Pikeville to clinch the AAC regular season title for the second-straight season.

Moreno had a goal and an assist in Milligan's win over the Bulldogs and posted three goals and three assists at Pikeville.

Moreno leads the Leads AAC and the NAIA with 29 assists, the third-most in a single-season in NAIA history. He leads the AAC and ranks second in the nation with 57 points. This is his second weekly conference honor of the season.

Alles did not allow a goal in nearly 160 minutes of action last week, making eight saves in the Buffs' win over Union. The Bulldogs boast a top-10 scoring offense in the NAIA and Alles made several key stops in the shutout win. He also shared a shutout in the Buffs' triumph over Pikeville.

Milligan topped the AAC standings with a 10-0-3 league record and end the regular season with a 14-game unbeaten streak.

The Buffs host Reinhardt on Friday evening in an AAC Tournament quarterfinal at Anglin Field.
