Charlie Betts and Jan Kuepper collect AAC Weekly Men’s Soccer Awards

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (October 25, 2021) – Milligan University sophomore forward Charlie Betts and graduate goalkeeper Jan Kuepper swept the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Soccer Weekly Awards on Monday afternoon.

The No. 15 Buffs went 2-0 last week with a 7-0 win over St. Andrews and a 1-0 victory at (RV) Reinhardt. The Buffs moved to 9-2 in AAC play and secured the inside track to the second overall seed in the AAC Tournament.

Betts was named AAC Offensive Player of the Week after posting an eight-point week. He scored three times and distributed one assist against St. Andrews. He also assisted Jett Carter's game-winning goal in the 41st minute at Reinhardt.

Kuepper logged his eighth and ninth shutout wins last week. He made four saves in the victory over St. Andrews and five verses Reinhardt. He made of a pair of critical saves in the final 10 minutes to secure Milligan's one-goal win over the Eagles.

The Buffs wrap up their regular season schedule this week. Milligan will celebrate Senior Day on Wednesday against Bluefield and head to Johnson (Tenn.) on Saturday.
