COLUMBIA, S.C. (October 16, 2021) – The No. 18 Milligan University men's soccer team cruised to a 13-0 victory at Columbia on Saturday afternoon.
The win in the first-ever meeting between the Buffs and Koalas moves Milligan's record to 11-2 overall and 7-2 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play. Columbia falls to 2-10, 1-9 AAC.
The Buffs had 10 different goal scorers on the afternoon. Odin Solheim, Jett Carter and Victor Castel all tallied a pair of goals
Alex Frances, Elies Sebbouh, Raphael Sefriou, Luke Bennett, Charlie Betts, Sondre Haaland and Alexsander Krogh each recorded one goal.
Milligan led 7-0 at halftime and scored six more goals in the second half.
The Buffs outshot Columbia 40-3 and held a 24-3 edge in shots on goal.
Jan Kuepper made three saves and registered his seventh shutout win of the season.
Milligan continues conference play Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. when the Buffs welcome St. Andrews to Anglin Field.
