"It was a ball on the back post with the defense refusing to come up and I was able to score pretty easily. It was my first goal of the season and felt amazing," said Montragull.
The Buffalo defense was remarkable tonight led by goalkeeper Jan Kuepper who ended the game with 5 saves. In addition, Elies Simo made several key plays intercepting numerous passes and clearing the ball out of harm's way down the stretch.
Milligan outshot Tennessee Wesleyan 19-5 with several attempts nearly finding the back of the net by nicking off the crossbar.
Controlling possession for much of the game, Milligan was able to go on the attack a number of times tonight with a total of five shots on goal.
Alumni from Milligan's 2006 and 2011 AAC championship teams were honored at halftime.
Buffs men's soccer will be back at Anglin Field on Wednesday night taking on the Union Bulldogs in an intra-conference matchup at 7:00 PM.
