Milligan, Tenn. (September 4, 2021) - The 22nd-ranked Milligan University men’s soccer team extend its season-opening winning streak to three games with a convincing 3-1 win over No. 11 Dalton State.

Milligan, Tenn. (September 4, 2021) - The 22nd-ranked Milligan University men's soccer team extend its season-opening winning streak to three games with a convincing 3-1 win over No. 11 Dalton State.
Despite being outshot 9-6 in the game, the Buffs made the most of their opportunities by scoring three goals, all in the first half.
Elies Sebbouh started the scoring off for the Buffs in the 5th minute coming off an assist from Inaki Moreno. The hot first half continued with Elies Simo finding the back of the net in the 20th minute coming off a corner kick from Raphael Sefriou
Rounding out the scoring for Milligan was Charlie Betts in the 25th minute of the match, cashing in on a counterattack, assisted by Victor Castel.
Milligan goalkeeper Ludvig Wille had 5 saves and earned his first win of the season.
Late in the action, Dalton State scored a goal in the 85th minute of play to trim the lead to 3-1. However, that was all the Roadrunners were able to muster as Milligan earned the 3-1 win.
The Buffs return to action on Friday night against Tennessee Wesleyan to kick off conference play.
