Trentler Named First SSAC Men's Bowler of the Week of 2024-25

Nate Trentler was named SSAC Men's Bowler of the Week for the second time in his Milligan career after setting the MU program record for pins per game average at 251.25

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - On Tuesday, the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) announced the winners of the first Bowler of the Week awards for 2024-25. On the men's side, Milligan University's Nate Trentler was lauded for his efforts over the weekend in Smyrna, Tenn. at the Gretaer Nashville Open and the Brandon Burns Memorial.

Trentler posted a scoring average of 194.75 over the course of the Greater Nashville Open, finishing 44th. He then outdid that performance the following day with an average of 251.25 pins per game, which is a Milligan program record. WIth that performance, Trentler was the individual champion at the event for the Buffaloes, additionally helping them win as a team. This is the second time in Trentler's career that he has been awarded SSAC Men's Bowler of the Week.
