Gustaf Lundberg takes medalist honors as Men's Golf places fourth

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (March 24, 2023) - Gustaf Lundberg claimed medalist honors over the weekend as he helped Milligan University men's golf to a fourth-place finish at the LTU Heritage Hill Collegiate this weekend.

The two-day, three-round event was held at the Heritage Hill Golf Course in Shepherdsville, Ky., and hosted by Lawrence Tech University (Mich.).

The Gothenburg, Sweden, junior shot a 1-under 215 to win by one stroke over Alfonso Baro Rosas of Rio Grande (Ohio).

Francisco DeBethencourt nearly joined Lundberg on the All-Tournament Team as he placed sixth with a 3-over 219. Ty Beasley finished 12th for the Buffaloes, posting a 6-over 222.

As a team, Milligan amassed a three-round score of 31-over 895 to place fourth. Host Lawrence Tech won the event with an 8-over 872.

The Buffaloes are back in action on April 2 when they host the Northeast Tennessee Collegiate at the Johnson City Country Club.
