Men’s Golf closes fall slate at Bojangles Intercollegiate

VONORE, Tenn. (October 22, 2023) – The Milligan University men's golf team concluded its fall schedule at the Bojangles Intercollegiate at the Links of Kahite Golf Club over the weekend.

The Buffs finished ninth of 11 teams with a 54-hole team score of 947 strokes. The Buffs were three strokes back of seventh place and 17 strokes out of a top-five team finish. No. 4 Dalton State won the tournament by 19 strokes with a team total of 878.

Milligan had two top-20 individuals in the 66-man field. Ty Beasley tied for 15th and had the Buffs' top round of the tournament with a two-under 70 in Saturday's second round. He finished at 227 strokes, four strokes out of a top-five finish. Beasley's second round 70 featured five birdies.

Francisco de Bethencourt tied for 18th at 229 strokes. His best round also came on Saturday as he posted an even-par 72 in the tournament's second round.

Seth Bible tied for 44th, Garrison Barton was 57th and Jakob Modig tied for 63rd.

Milligan men's golf resumes its schedule in the spring semester.
