Men’s Golf finishes fifth at Bob Dibble Intercollegiate

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (October 3, 2023) – The Milligan University men's golf team finished fifth of 11 teams at the Bob Dibble Intercollegiate at Link Hills Country Club on Tuesday.

The Buffs finished with a 54-hole team score of 883, 14 strokes behind fourth-place King and three strokes ahead of Walters State. Host Tusculum won the tournament at 19 strokes under par. Milligan's "B" team placed eighth at 907 strokes.

Francisco de Bethencourt tied for 14th in the 64-player field. He went 72-73-73 to finish five strokes over par at 218 strokes.

Garrison Barton led Milligan's "B" team and was Milligan's second overall individual as he finished with 219 strokes to tie for 16th. He shot a team-best 69 in the third round.

Seth Bible tied for 18th at 220 strokes and shot even-par 71 in the second round. Ty Beasley finished 20th with a 72 in the second round.

Alex Gouge and Parker Durkin both turned in even-par rounds. Gouge finished 29th and Durkin tied for 30th.

The Buffs head to The Windermere Club in South Carolina for the Appalachian Athletic Conference Fall Preview in two weeks.
