Ty Beasley honored as AAC Golfer of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. (April 17, 2023) – Milligan University junior Ty Beasley posted the second lowest two round tournament score in school history at the Northeast Tennessee Spring Shootout last week and was honored as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Golfer of the Week on Monday.

Due to Easter, all 36 holes of the tournament were played in a single day at the Elizabethton Golf Course. Beasley opened the day with a bogey-free 67. He notched birdies in three of four par-fives and finished the round with five bridies overall. In round two, he went two-under on the front and back nine to finish with a minus-four 68.

With his two-round score of (-9) 135, Beasley tied for second place. Milligan set its single-round (-11) and two-round (-16) tournament records at the event.

Beasley went six-under on par fours for the tournament and three-under at par fives.

Milligan men's golf heads to the AAC Championship and NAIA Direct Qualifier next week at the Cross Creek Plantation Golf Club in Seneca, S.C.
