Men’s Golf finishes seventh at Links of Kahite

VONORE, Tenn. (October 9, 2022) – The Milligan University men's golf team finished seventh of 12 teams at the Bojangles Tennessee Intercollegiate at the Links of Kahite over the weekend.

The Buffs navigated the three-round tournament with a team score of 932 (309-305-318). The Buffs finished five strokes back of sixth-place Mobile. The top four teams in the tournament were all nationally-ranked in the latest NAIA top 25, with No. 9 Dalton State taking the title by 10 strokes.

Jonathan Liggett posted Milligan's lowest round of the tournament as he went one-under 71 in his second round on Saturday. Liggett paced the Buffs with a 16th-place showing at 228 strokes.

Samuel Prater followed in 22nd at 230 strokes with rounds of 77, 76 and 77. Gustaf Lundberg followed two strokes behind Prater (2332) in 27th and shot a 74 in his first round.

Ty Beasley tied for 47th at 244 strokes and Jakob Modig was 59th in 251 strokes.

The Buffs return to action tomorrow at the Eagle Match Play Invitational at Tennessee National.
