Gustaf Lundberg named AAC Golfer of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. (October 3, 2022) – Milligan University men's golfer Gustaf Lundberg was honored as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance in the East Tennessee Collegiate, the league office announced on Monday.

Lundberg finished as the individual runner-up in the 67-man field at the Johnson City Country Club last week. He finished four strokes under par with a two-round total of 140. He recorded four birdies and 14 pars on his way to a minus-four 68 in the opening round. He followed with an even-par 72 on Tuesday to finish one stroke out of the top spot.

Milligan men's golf won topped the 12-team standings at the East Tennessee Collegiate. The Buffs finished with 578 strokes, six shots head of Walters State and UT Southern.

Milligan men's golf travels to the Links at Kahite this weekend for the Bojangles Tennessee Intercollegiate.
