Men’s Golf in second place after day one of Eagle Invite
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 4, 2022) – The Milligan University men’s golf squad opened the Midway University Eagle Invitational at the Griffen Gate Golf Course with a team score of 294 to rank second of 11 teams after round one in Kentucky.

The Buffs trail only hosts Midway, who leads the tournament with 286 strokes. The Buffs are two strokes ahead of Kentucky State and No. 19 Tennessee Wesleyan.
Freshman Alvaro Huidobro led the charge for the Buffs with a 70 to finished tied for fourth in the 61-man field after day one. He logged four bridies in the round to finish as one of five players to shoot even-par.
Dane Rheinecker and Samuel Prater both joined Huidobro in the top-10 as Rheinecker fired a 73 to tie for seventh and Prater carded a 74 to tie for ninth.
Jonathan Liggett posted a 77 to slot in a five-way tie for 20th and Ty Beasley was 44th (83).
The Buffs wrap up at the Eagle Invitational at Griffin Gate tomorrow.
