Alvaro Huidobro tabbed as AAC Men’s Golfer of the Week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (March 28, 2022) – Milligan University freshman Alvaro Huidobro secured Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Golfer of the Week honors for the first time in his career, the conference announced on Monday.

Huidobro led the charge for the Buffs at Graysburg Hills Golf Club this past week, where Milligan finished third out of 15 teams in a field of primarily NCAA Division II competition. He tied for eighth in a 93-man field with a one-under 143 for the tournament.

Huidobro carded a plus-one 73 on his first day of competition and used a round two 70 to jump 12 spots up the leaderboard and earn his third top-10 finish of the season.

Milligan men's golf returns to action next week at the Eagle Invitational at the Griffin Gate Golf Club in Lexington, Kentucky.
