Men’s Golf finishes strong at Bojangles Intercollegiate

The Buffs entered the day in seventh place out of nine teams at the Bojangles Intercollegiate. Four teams at the event were featured in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top 25 poll and another received votes.
Milligan shot a plus-nine 297 in round three, only behind No. 12 Point and No. 25 Midway and ahead of No. 9 Tennessee Wesleyan (303) and No. 23 Dalton State (299).
The Buffs finished the 54-hole tournament with a team score of 901, moving up one spot in the team standings to sixth overall. Point won the event with a one-over 865 team total.
Jonathan Liggett jumped eight spots into the top 10 with a minus-one 71 on Sunday. He finished with at three-over with a three-round total of 219 to tie for seventh in the 59-goler field.
Dane Rheinecker tied for 23rd at 224 strokes (74-74-76). Samuel Prater closed the tournament with a 75 in round three and a total of 227 strokes, good for 29th.
Ty Beasley jumped six spots to tie for 34th after shooting a tournament-best 75 to finish at 231 strokes. Alvaro Huidobro also posted his best score of the weekend on Sunday with a 78 to finish tied for 43rd at 242 strokes.
Playing as an individual, Reece Anderson finished 56th at 260 strokes.
