Jonathan Liggett fired a 73, and the Milligan University men’s golf team opened the 2020-21 season with a 304 on day one of the East Tennessee Collegiate, held at Johnson City Country Club Monday under a clear and sunny sky.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 28, 2020) – Jonathan Liggett fired a 73, and the Milligan University men's golf team opened the 2020-21 season with a 304 on day one of the East Tennessee Collegiate, held at Johnson City Country Club Monday under a clear and sunny sky.

Liggett ranks tied for fifth, only three strokes off the lead, while Milligan ranks fourth, only 14 strokes off the lead. Ty Beasley followed with a 75, good for 12th on the individual leaderboard, and Dane Rheinecker carded a 77, good for 17th.

Caleb Milligan led the Milligan "B" team with a 74, tied for 10th. Four other Buffs turned in scorecards in the 70's to rank inside the top 25 in the field of 44.

Round two is set for Tuesday back here at Johnson City Country Club.
