Collins Leads the way for Buffs Men's Bowling at Collegiate Shoot-out
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Milligan University men's bowling team finished its 2024 calendar year at the Collegiate Shoot-out in Las Vegas, Nev. The Buffs placed eleventh out of fifty-five teams in the Tier 1 event.
The Buffs finished with a team total of 8,350 pins across the two-day event in Las Vegas, competing against schools from across the country. The Buffs missed cracking the top 10 by just a mere 83 pins.
Joshua Collins finished in 15th place in the individual rankings for the Buffs in the event. He tallied a total of 1,115 pins and finished with a scoring average of 223. The highest total game from Collins came in game two with a score of 257.
Alex Evans and Nate Trentler would both claim top-50 spots in the individual rankings for the Buffs, posting average scores of 211.8 and 211.6, respectively. Trentler finished just one pin behind his Buffs teammate with a total score of 1,058.
Cameron Shockey was next in the individual rankings for the Buffs after racking up a total score of 831 pins across four games played. Shockey's average score across the four games was 207.8. His highest game total came in game three with a total score of 267.
Bryant Griffith finished with a total score of 562 across three games for the Buffs. Griffith finished with an average game of 188.7. Ethan Collier finished two games for the Buffs with a total score of 281 and an average score of 190.5. David Gilliam rounded out the Buffs individual scores with a pin total of 160 in one game bowled for the Varsity team.
The Buffs are back in action in 2025 in Louisville, Ky. at the Thomas Burris Memorial on Jan. 25 and 26.
