Buffs Men's Bowling Places Sixth at Bowlero Southern
MARIETTA, Ga. – On Saturday and Sunday, the Milligan University men's bowling team competed in their first Tier 1 tournament of the 2024-25 campaign at Bowlero Southern in Marietta, Ga. Overall, the squad posted a sixth place result out of 22 competing programs.
Over the course of two days, six team games and twenty baker games made up the tournament format. The Buffaloes toppled 5,959 pins in the team games and 4,055 in the baker games. They were able to break the 10,000-pin mark at 10,014 for the weekend.
Milligan's Bryant Griffith was able to put together a 19th-place individual finish, boasting a 208.8 average through the six team games. He posted a 236 in game two en route to his 1,253 pins, overall.
Ethan Collier had a strong event for Milligan JV1, notching a 207-pin average to finish 21st. He tallied 1,242 pins across six team games and put forth a 238-pin effort in game five.
For the Buffs JV1, Cameron Shockey had 1,199 pins to finish in 33rd as an individual, helping push Milligan JV1 to a third-place showing out of nine teams in their division.
The Buffaloes now have a short hiatus before their next Tier 1 event, the Collegiate Team Match Games in Fairview Heights, Ill. On Nov. 23-24.
