Men’s Bowling SSAC Championship run ends in elimination bracket final
SAVANNAH, Ga. (February 24, 2024) – The Milligan University men’s bowling team made a run through the elimination bracket at the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Men’s Bowling Championships but were defeated in the elimination bracket final by SCAD Atlanta on the final day of the SSAC Championships on Saturday.

(February 24, 2024) – The Milligan University men's bowling team made a run through the elimination bracket at the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Men's Bowling Championship but were defeated in the elimination bracket final by SCAD Atlanta on the final day of the SSAC Championships on Saturday.
The elimination bracket format consisted of best of seven baker match play.
Milligan started the day with a 4-1 victory over sixth-seeded Blue Mountain. Milligan had high games of 238, 222 and 211.
The Buffs then dispatched fifth seed Mobile 4-1. Milligan eked out a two-pin win in the third baker match to take a 2-1 lead and then closed out the Rams 183-167 and 169-161.
In the elimination bracket final the Buffs faced third-seeded SCAD Atlanta, who knocked the Buffs to the elimination bracket on Friday. The Bees prevailed 4-0 as SCAD went over 200 pins three times in the series.
No. 1 SCAD Savannah took down SCAD Atlanta to claim the SSAC title and automatic berth to the NAIA Championship.
The Buffs await a potential at-large bid to the NAIA National Championship field. The championship field will be released on March 4.
