Cooper Brackins tabbed as SSAC Bowler of the Week

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (December 28, 2022) – Milligan University sophomore Cooper Brackins was selected as the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Men's Bowler of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.

Brackins turned in two strong outings during the Buffs' pre-Christmas Las Vegas trip where Milligan competed in a pair of high-profile Tier 1 events.

Brackens was Milligan's top finisher at the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational as he finished 36th overall with 1,790 pins across nine games. His per-game average of 198.9 was bolstered by a run of four-straight games over 200 with a high of 246.

Brackins led the Buffs' JV squad to a second place finish in the eight team qualifying and a runner-up showing in the JV championship at the Glenn Carlson LV Invite.

At the Collegiate Shoot-Out, Brackins notched another top-100 individual finish. He was Milligan's No. 2 individual with a six-game total of 1,128 pins (188 average) to finish 98th overall.

Brackins becomes the second Buff to earn weekly honors from the SSAC, joining teammate Tristan Crawford (Oct. 11).
