Men’s Bowling competes at MSC Lynne Jordan Memorial
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 23, 2021) – The Milligan University men’s bowling team competed in the Mid-South Conference’s Lynne Jordan Memorial on Saturday. The Buffs finished 22nd overall, downing 6,284 pins in five games of individual play and 12 baker games.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 23, 2021) – The Milligan University men's bowling team competed in the Mid-South Conference's Lynne Jordan Memorial on Saturday. The Buffs finished 22nd overall, downing 6,284 pins in five games of individual play and 12 baker games.
Milligan totaled 4,231 pins through five games of individual play. Cooper Brackins led the charge during individual play with 910 pins cleared through five games for an average of 182 pins. He exceeded 200 pins twice, including a 214 in his fourth game.
Jameson Whaley averaged 178.8 pins through five games with a high of 212 in his opening game. Tristan Crawford posted Milligan's highest single-game total at 233 in his final contest.
In a dozen baker games, the Buffs knocked down 2,053 pins for an average of 171.1 pins. Milligan surpassed 200 pins twice, notching 203 pins in games four and 11.
"While we had some ups and downs today, it's expected with this young group," said head coach Brian Rickertt. "I was impressed with the solid effort from Cooper Brackins and the overall attitudes by all the guys. We keep on improving each tournament and I'm excited to see how we keep moving forward. Tomorrow will be a tough test as this will be our first back to back."
Tennessee Southern took home the event title with 7,619 total pins.
The Buffs return to action tomorrow in Kentucky at the MSC Thomas Burris Memorial.
