Men’s Bowling begins inaugural season at MSC Baker Classic
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (October 3, 2021) – The Milligan University men’s bowling team competed in its first-ever varsity competition at the Mid-South Conference Baker Classic at Southern Lanes over the weekend.
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (October 3, 2021) – The Milligan University men's bowling team competed in its first-ever varsity competition at the Mid-South Conference Baker Classic at Southern Lanes over the weekend.
Milligan's unit of Cooper Brackins, Christian Brown, Tristan Crawford, Matthew Richards and Jameson Whaley combined to knock down 6,218 pins over 40 baker games.
In baker scoring, each of the five team members bowls two frames each game. The first bowler bowls the 1st and 6th frames, the next bowler bowls the 2nd and 7th frames, etc.
The Buffs finished 17th in the varsity division. Tennessee Southern took home the Baker Classic title at 7,765 pins.
Milligan had three games over 200 at the event. The Buffs racked up 209 pins in game four, 224 pins in the tenth game and an event-high 229 pins in the 35th game.
Milligan men's bowling continues its inaugural season next weekend in Beavercreek, Ohio at the Orange & Black Classic.
