Tamba and Peay Recognized as CSC Academic All-District Honorees
MILLIGAN, Tenn. - On Tuesday, College Sports Communicators (CSC) unveiled their Men's Basketball Academic All-District teams, as Milligan University's Handje Tamba and Jayme Peay were bestowed the honor.
Tamba, a 4.0 GPA member of the MBA program, had an impressive first campaign with the Buffaloes. He had 10.5 points per game, which was third-highest on the squad. He was especially dominant defensively, earning the Appalachian Athletic Conference's (AAC) Defensive Player of the Year. He averaged 8.9 rebounds per contest, while rejecting a new Milligan record 1.7 shots per game in the 2024-25 season. He also had 0.6 steals per contest on the season, as a huge help to the Buffaloes defense, which allowed the 22nd-fewest points per game in the country.
Peay holds a 3.71 GPA in the Sport Management program at Milligan, and was a defensive stalwart in his own right, notching AAC All-Defensive honors. He was also a shot-blocking menace, sending back 1.3 shots per contest. He hauled in 6.1 rebounds per game, while providing some scoring at 7.6 per game, as well.
