Milligan Men's Basketball Stays Unbeaten, Beats Cleary at Ness. Bros Hall of Fame Classic
HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Milligan men's basketball team was in Huntington, Ind. on Friday night to play in the Ness Bros. Hall of Fame Classic, hosted by Huntington University, against the Cleary University Cougars. The Buffs continued their winning ways in what was a dominant victory over Cleary, 82-59.
The Buffs went down 2-0 and that was the only time they would trail for the game. A dominant first half performance saw the Buffs take a 44-21 lead at halftime.
The second half was more of the same for the Buffs, who shot 60% from the field for the game and continued to score at will. The Buffs bench outscored the Cougars bench 42-26, as the entirety of the Buffaloes 15-man rotation was involved in the dominant win.
McCaskill Rivers led the way for the Buffs with 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting in 20 minutes of action. Indiana native Lincoln Thomae finished with 15 points going a perfect 7-of-7 from the field. Handje Tamba also had a big night finishing with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Milligan, now 3-0, will be back in action at approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, when they take on the hosts, No. 19-ranked Huntington in game two of the Ness Bros. Hall of Fame Classic.
