The squad's season begins on Oct. 25 in Tampa, Fla., with a battle against Florida College at 7 p.m. as part of the Florida College Classic. The next day, Oct. 26, the Buffaloes will face off with Webber International at 1 p.m. to close out the event in the Sunshine State.
Another out-of-state event comes next, as Milligan will travel to Huntington, Ind. for a pair of games at the Ness Bros. Hall of Fame Classic on Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 2 at 4 p.m. The first of their two matchups will be against Cleary University (Mich.), while the second will be versus the event host, Huntington University.
One more preseason non-conference matchup remains for the Buffs, as they travel east to Winston-Salem, N.C. for a bout with Carolina University on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.
"We have a great non-conference schedule this year including two early classics on the road that will prepare us greatly for the upcoming season," stated Robinson. "We are looking forward to a great year!"
Entering Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play, the Buffaloes will have a tough test on the road to begin things. They will be heading to Pikeville, Ky. to face a University of Pikeville squad that reached NAIA Tournament last season on Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
A pair of home AAC tilts will follow, as Truett McConnel (Nov. 16, 4 p.m.) and Columbia (Nov. 20, 7:30 p.m.) will come to town. Those two games at home preclude two road tussles with Reinhardt (Nov. 23, 4 p.m.) and Kentucky Christian (Nov. 26, 7:30 p.m.).
THE SHOW, hosted by MeadowView Marriot in Kingsport, will see the Buffaloes go toe-to-toe with St. Thomas (Fla.) on Nov. 29 at 9 p.m. and Life (Ga.) on Nov. 30 at 5:15 p.m. as two of their final three counting non-conference bouts of the campaign.
In December, Union Commonwealth and Bryan College come to Steve Lacy Fieldhouse on Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 7 at 4 p.m., respectively. Those come prior to an away matchup at St. Andrews on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. Lastly, a pair of exhibitions against NCAA DI opposition will be played during the month. Western Carolina will host Milligan on Dec. 19 at 11 a.m. in Cullowhee, and Tennessee Tech will have the Buffs in Cookeville on Dec. 29.
The busiest month of the season for the AAC is January, when the Buffaloes will play seven opponents. They begin the month against Johnson at home on Jan. 4 at 4 p.m., before hitting the road for two away battles. They match up with Tennessee Wesleyan on Jan. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and follow that with a 4 p.m. tip on Jan. 11 at Bluefield. Pikeville comes to East Tennessee on Jan. 15 to play the Buffs at 7:30 p.m., prior to another spell on the road for Milligan. Road bouts at CIU on Jan. 18 at 4 p.m. and Union Commonwealth at 4 p.m. on Jan. 25 send the Buffaloes into their final game of the month. The last of seven matchups is against Montreat inside Steve Lacy Fieldhouse, where tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 29.
Milligan's February has four out of the six games being played at home, which is a welcome sight to wind down the regular season. On Feb. 1, the Buffs host CIU at 4 p.m., prior to a road game at Bryan on Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m. The last non-conference battle of the year will be against Carolina University at home on Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. That will precede a home tilt against Bluefield on Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m. The Buffaloes then go back to the road to play Truett McConnell on Feb. 15 at 4 p.m. in Cleveland, Ga. Finally, the regular season ends with the Buffs playing host to the Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan on Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
