Follie Bogan named AAC Player of the Week for fifth time
WALESKA, Ga. (February 26, 2024) – For the fifth time this season, graduate student Follie Bogan has been tabbed as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
WALESKA, Ga. (February 26, 2024) – For the fifth time this season, graduate student Follie Bogan has been tabbed as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Bogan averaged 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 steals in a pair of AAC wins over Bluefield and St. Andrews last week. Milligan closed the regular season on a three-game winning streak and clinched the fourth seed in the AAC Tournament on the final day of the regular season.
In Milligan's 93-78 win at Bluefield, Bogan had 26 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. He added 17 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals in a 109-78 triumph over St. Andrews in the regular season finale.
Bogan finished as the AAC's leading scorer at 23.5 points per game. He led the conference in field goals and free throws made in 2023-24.
The Buffs take on fifth seed Johnson (Tenn.) on Thursday in the conference tournament quarterfinals. The game will be played at the MeadowView Marriott in Kingsport. Tipoff is at 8:30 a.m.
