Men’s Basketball falls to Shawnee State in The Show

The Buffs fall to 3-3 on the season while the Bears rise to 3-2.
The game featured four ties and a pair of lead changes over the first six minutes of play. The two teams were tied at 13 before Shawnee State took the lead for good with a 7-2 spurt. The Buffs stayed within four points (31-27) with six minutes to go in the half but the Bears finished the half on a 19-7 run to lead 50-34 at the halftime break.
Milligan worked back inside single-digits (76-68) with 6:44 left in regulation but were not able to get closer than eight as the Bears held on for the victory.
Shawnee State shot 54.8 percent from the field for the game while Milligan shot 46.7 percent. Over half of the Bears' points were points in the paint (48).
Follie Bogan led the Buffs with 25 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. McCaskill Rivers had 16 points and Luke Lentz added 10.
Milligan's bench outscored Shawnee State's 26-14 and the Buffs held slight edges in second chance points (19-18) and fast break points (10-8).
Milligan takes on Indiana-Kokomo tomorrow at 4:15 p.m. at The Show.
