Dylan Bartley collects All-AAC Second Team and All-Freshmen honors
WALESKA, Ga. (February 21, 2023) – Milligan University men's basketball freshman Dylan Bartley collected a pair of Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) all-conference honors on Tuesday evening. Bartley was named to the All-AAC Second Team and AAC All-Freshmen Team.
WALESKA, Ga. (February 21, 2023) – Milligan University men's basketball freshman Dylan Bartley collected a pair of Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) all-conference honors on Tuesday evening. Bartley was named to the All-AAC Second Team and AAC All-Freshmen Team.
Bartley reeled in postseason accolades after leading the Buffs in scoring at 15.1 points per game. He ranked 10th in the league in scoring and finished the regular season fourth in the three-pointers made (69) and free throws made (102). He scored in double-figures in 22 of 27 games with six 20-point outings and a high of 32 points in a win at St. Andrews.
Bartley's 407 total points are the second-highest for a Milligan men's basketball freshman in the last 15 years, trailing only Justin Sylvester (434 points) in 2009-10.
Flynn Carlson, Sam Gold, Drew Greene, Chase Love and Matthew Roberts earned AAC All-Academic distinction. Carlson was named to the AAC Champions of Character Team.
Milligan more than doubled its AAC win total from last season and earned the eighth seed in the conference tournament. The Buffs take on ninth-seeded Truett McConnell Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the opening round of the AAC tournament.
