Flynn Carlson collects CSC Academic All-District honors

MILLIGAN, Tenn. (February 21, 2023) – Milligan University men's basketball sophomore Flynn Carlson was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Tuesday.

Carlson, a sophomore center from Valparaiso, Ind., is an exercise science major with a 3.93 cumulative grade point average.

In his second season as a Buff, Carlson started 21 games and ranks second on the roster at 26.0 minutes per game. The team's leading shot-blocker, Carlson logged 31 rejections, ranking sixth in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).

During the regular season, Carlson posted averaged of 6.6 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 56.3 percent from the field. He notched six double-digit scoring outings.

Milligan more than doubled its AAC win total from last season and earned the eighth seed in the conference tournament. The Buffs take on ninth-seeded Truett McConnell tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in the opening round of the AAC tournament.
