Levontae Knox named All-AAC Second Team; Korent and Carlson earn All-Freshman applause
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (February 23, 2022) – Milligan University sophomore Levontae Knox represented the Milligan University men’s basketball team as an All-Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Second Team selection as the league office announced its all-conference awards Wednesday evening.

Freshmen Piripi Korent and Flynn Carlson rounded out Milligan's all-conference honors as both players were honored as members of the AAC's All-Freshman Team.
In his second season with the Buffs, Knox doubled his scoring average and became the Buffs' leading scorer at 13.3 points per game in 2021-22. He shot 63.0 percent from the field, a mark that ranked sixth in the AAC. He also averaged 6.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game this season.
Knox scored in double-digits 18 times and six 20-point outings. He concluded the season top 20 in the AAC in field goals made, assists, steals and blocks.
Korent averaged 8.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in his first season for the Buffs. He ranked seventh in the AAC with a 59.9 field goal percent and averaged nearly 11 points per game in the 12 games played in January and February.
Carlson averaged 5.3 points and 3.3 rebounds on 60.4 percent shooting from the field and 85.7 percent from the free throw line. He scored a season high 17 points in a win over St. Andrews in February.
