Reinhardt evened its season series with the Buffs after Milligan earned a 59-57 win over the Eagles in early January. Milligan falls to 5-17 on the year and 4-15 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) action. Reinhardt rises to 18-9, 15-6 AAC.
Reinhardt scored the first seven points of the contest before a Josh Thomas layup opened the scoring for the Buffs. A dunk by Piripi Korent and a three from Thomas trimmed the Eagles' lead to three (10-7) four minutes in.
Reinhardt reeled off nine-straight points to build a 19-7 lead with 12:45 to play in the half. The Eagles' lead stretched to as many as 23 points four times in the first half. The Buffs scored the final five points of the half as Adam Graham converted a free throw, Sami Sanad made a jumper and Flynn Carlson made a pair of foul shots. Reinhardt's lead was 18 points (48-30) at the half.
The closest margin in the second half was 15 after a layup by Korent and a free throw by Levontae Knox made it a 48-33 ballgame 90 seconds into the second half. Reinhardt responded with a 9-2 run to build its advantage back over 20 the rest of the way.
Reinhardt turned 22 Milligan turnovers in 35 points and shot 14-of-30 (46.7 percent) from deep.
Korent led Milligan with 12 points and five rebounds. Sanad chipped in 10 points and had four assists. Carlson and Graham had eight points and Julian Wilson had seven points in 10 minutes.
Milligan travels to Union on Thursday evening.
