Milligan’s season comes to an end in AAC tournament
The Milligan College men’s basketball team fell in the semifinal round of the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament 100-68 against Montreat College Friday afternoon in Kingsport.

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (Feb. 28, 2020) – The Milligan College men's basketball team fell in the semifinal round of the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament 100-68 against Montreat College Friday afternoon in Kingsport.
Montreat was able to jump out to an early lead and extend it out to eight points in the first four minutes. Milligan was able to work their lead back down and get in the lead off of a second chance shot by Desean Green to give Milligan their only lead of the game with 11 minutes left in the first half. The Buffs would keep Montreat's lead within four and tie the game up 28-28 off of a Bo Pless 3-pointer, before the Cavs would go on a 23-9 run in the last eight minutes of play.
In the second half Montreat would extend their lead out to 34 points and the Buffs were never able to recover. The Buffs were unable to connect from behind the 3-point arc in the second half while Montreat went 7-for-15 from distance.
Pless led Milligan in scoring with 12 points followed by Tyler Nichols and Jacob Cawood with 11 each. Green finished the night with eight points and 10 rebounds and Mike Featherston finished with seven points and seven rebounds.
Milligan finished their season with an overall record of 19-12.
